Our Mission
Written by Marietta Maxey, OTR in 1981 but still in use today:


 I, Marietta Maxey, owner and director of the Occupational Therapy Center, Inc. and my associates will strive
to provide competent occupational therapy and related services to all clientele seeking our help. Within the
best of our abilities, we will preserve and enhance the dignity and self-worth of each individual served. We
also will protect and respect confidentiality and the privacy of each client.
However, we will do our utmost to be honest in giving our professional opinions of what we feel we may be
able to accomplish. We will strive to do our best in helping our clients to make maximum gains and to keep
families aware of progress and further needs.
We will make every possible effort to
maintain and upgrade our
professional knowledge and skills. We
will remain certified and accredited in
accordance to standards set by the
American Occupational Therapy
Association, any national association
of our staff members, and current
licensure laws of the state of Texas.

We will abide by the safety and fire
codes enacted by the City of Houston.
We will attempt to keep our fees
competitive with others in the greater
Houston area with respect to our
experience and expertise. We make
no guarantees or promises that what
we do will help the client and will not
refund any cost if services are
unsuccessful.
