The OTC maintains membership in the Sensory Integration Global Network supporting the goals to provide quality treatment and instruction to therapists in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) along with the International Coalition of Educators in Sensory Integration. We were honored to receive the Clinical Excellence award in 2002 from the Texas Occupational Therapy Association. This award is rarely given to non-research facilities. We continue to strive for even greater clinical excellence with each child we treat. The OTC Clinical Director, Lynne C. Tupper, MPH, OTR has 25 years of occupational therapy-pediatric experience. She is one of a few Occupational Therapists in the country to hold the coveted Board-Certified Pediatric Therapy Certification. Her book, which she co-authored, called School Hardening and several professional journal articles are often used as a reference source for Occupational Therapists and other pediatric professionals. She is a leading Occupational Therapist in Autism Spectrum disorders and Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI). |

| Occupational Therapy Center, Inc. A solid foundation is the building block for a child's future |
| The Occupational Therapy Center, Inc. (OTC), founded in 1981 by Marietta Maxey, OTR, is the premier occupational therapy center for pediatrics in southeast Texas and specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with Sensory Integration Dysfunction. This dysfunction is the foundation for many of the difficulties experienced by children. Mrs. Maxey's philosophy continues today in order to provide the best occupational therapy by the most qualified and caring therapists. |

| The OTC offers a long history of clinical excellence in diagnostic and family-centered therapeutic services along with consultations for children from ages birth through adolescence. We were the first to bring the Sensory Integration approach to children in southeast Texas. The staff of the OTC has over 50 years of experience in occupational therapy with children and in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI). In 1983, the OTC was involved in the development of the Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests under the direction of Dr. Jean Ayres. Our therapists continually attend and teach inservices/seminars which keep them in the forefront of this advanced specialization area. They often are requested to lecture all over the USA in addition to evaluating and treating children from all over the world. |
